Rogue Economies - Trade Roots: HOME
This project is concerned with the co-existence and conflict between the legal and clandestine dark market, specifically investigating material flux as an element of constructing home through regressive border manipulation, using dark market trafficking tactics and manipulation manoeuvres.

This project does not intend to solve the current trafficking and exploitation problem in South Africa, but rather to amplify the current conflicting conditions, whilst gaining a level of control over this dark market trade and ensuring safety to victims of trafficking rings.

This project proposes to invent a speculative hospital facility, using tactics of traffickers, identified as decoy, directionless, captivity and identity-less, to construct the layout and program of the dark market network, which starts to challenge the conventional hospital layout, and intend to speculate what the infrastructure of a decoy hospital might look like, when we start to design an infrastructure for the dark market to co-operate with the conventional legal system.
