UNIT 15X︎︎︎
Toxic [Urban] Landscapes
This project aims to unite labour migrants with their families at hostels, by providing housing units that can accommodate families and also be able to attract new residences outside hostels, with amenities.

This can be possible with a type of housing that will balance government housing backlogs, affordability of labour migrants and utilising skills that labour migrants have gained at workplaces.

The project aims to create a housing type that accommodates several family typologies. To achieve this, an Incremental Housing system will be explored – where the government will provide part of a unit and the rest will be done as the family needs grow and finance allows. The structure will provide a framing system that the dwellers can tap into. This will be services, and a framing structure that can be built into with several materials according to need.
